Daniel has a broad practice in all areas of the commercial bar, including in insurance, equity and trusts, corporations, insolvency and property law and professional negligence suits. He also practises in dust diseases proceedings. Daniel’s skilled and diligent approach seeks to draw out the key issues between the parties at an early stage. He gives practical, straightforward advice. Daniel fearlessly advances clients’ best interests, whether in court or in seeking to resolve dispute prior to hearing.
Before coming to the Bar, Daniel was a solicitor at Freehills (now Herbert Smith Freehills) in Sydney and at Slaughter and May in London and the tipstaff and research director to the Chief Justice of NSW, the Hon JJ Spigelman AC KC. Daniel holds degrees from UNSW (BSc LLB) and the University of Oxford (BCL). Since 2014, Daniel also has lectured at UNSW in equity and trusts and in evidence.
