John accepts briefs in all areas of commercial law. He specialises in corporations law; corporate and cross-border insolvency; banking, finance and financial services; and equity and trusts. John advises insolvency practitioners, company directors, senior executives and major banks, financial institutions and insurers in matters concerning directors’ duties, oppression, voidable transactions and general commercial disputes. He appears in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and Federal Court of Australia, and in other courts throughout Australia.
Prior to coming to the Bar, John was a solicitor at Baker McKenzie and Henry Davis York, where he focussed on corporate insolvency. He holds a Master of Laws from the University of Sydney and Bachelor of Laws from the Queensland University of Technology.
