Eight Selborne has for many years supported any member who wishes to take parenting leave or extended leave for compassionate or personal reasons.

That support (including relief from expenses) is not, and has never been, limited to a fixed period of time, but is available for as long as is reasonably necessary depending on the particular circumstances, and is offered in a spirit of goodwill and collegiality.

In addition, Eight Selborne has adopted and is committed to the NSW Bar Association’s Best Practice Guidelines, including in respect of parental and extended leave; harassment, discrimination and bullying; and provision of a grievance and complaint framework. Information on the Best Practice Guidelines can be found here.
