Benjamin Goodyear

Benjamin specialises in cases involving:

• commercial and contractual disputes;
• construction;
• corporations law (including shareholder oppression);
• defamation;
• equity;
• insolvency and personal bankruptcy;
• misleading or deceptive conduct;
• questions of statutory interpretation;
• real property disputes;
• succession; and
• torts.

He represents clients in all courts and tribunals, as well as in arbitrations, negotiations and mediations.

Prior to joining the Bar, Benjamin was an Associate to the Honourable Justice Lander of the Federal Court of Australia, and a Senior Associate at King & Wood Mallesons. He holds a Bachelor of Science majoring in Theoretical Physics; a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment; a Graduate Diploma in Property; a Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice (in which he won nine subject prizes and a University Medal); and a Bachelor of Civil Law from the University of Oxford.
